AJ and his partners founded Personal Communication Systems and PhoneTree telephone messaging system in 1989 where they pioneered automated messaging technologies for faith-based organizations, healthcare and the business community. Specializing in the development and manufacturing of automated telecommunication tools for organizational use, PhoneTree designs, assembles and markets its own proprietary telecommunication hardware and software. In 1990 and 1991, PhoneTree was recognized at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) as an Innovative Product of the Year.
