If your goal is to simply transcribe manufacturers' Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) so they'll be organized into a uniform, electronically accessible format, Safety Officer II (SOII) can easily accommodate you. You will, however, fall far short of the program's potential. The gist of the 29CFR code and surrounding body of legislation is very simple really; the object is to reduce the hazards associated with chemical handling. There's a reason why this code is commonly referred to as the "Hazard Communication" and/or the "Right to Know" legislation. It's about information. It's about telling people who are actually handling a chemical of those elements that are essential to its safe management. The MSDS is just a tool in this process; it is not the object of the process itself.
