Materials Management Microsystems was founded and incorporated in the State of Wisconsin in 1991. Microsystems' president, Ed Becker, started the company after working as a Sterile Processing Manager and as a consultant to Sterile Processing Departments across the country for a number of years. He saw many SPDs fighting an uphill battle to perform increasingly complex tasks in an environment where manual documentation techniques were used almost exclusively. The concept of computerization in Sterile Processing gave birth to Sterile Processing Microsystem (SPM), Microsystems' first and still primary product.As SPM has evolved, so have other Microsystems products and services so that we now offer a wide range of sterile processing information systems from highly scalable entry-level to fully-integrated.
