Company Bio-Dev was born in 1990 with the “mission” to manage exclusively Quality Control Programs: External Quality Assessment Scheme and Intra-InterLab Control. BIO-DEV obtained ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485:2004 certifications and it works in conformity to ISO Guide 43-1 and ILAC-G13 2000 for the Organizers of External Quality Assessment Scheme. Thanks to availability of Dr. Alain Leblanc, Founder of French External Quality Assessment Scheme National Control, Bio-Dev makes a very important collaboration with A.S.S.A.P.S. Bio-Dev organization and services development are based on hints of Dr. Leblanc, which sucessively became a very important scientific and organizing reference point. In April ’95 Bio-Dev obtaines the validation by an Audit credited at a european level, Dr Pharm J. C. Libeer – Belgium EQAS Coordinator for technical, scientific and logistic performances, in conformity to the Requirements for External Quality Assessment Schemes (EQAS). Bio-Dev, by its person responsible, is active member of EQALM (European Committee for External Quality Assurance Programmes in Laboratory Medicine): the actual President is Dr Pharm J. C. Libeer. Bio-Dev actively participates to working groups of haematology and microbiology, to define the european standards relative to products and statistical evaluation methods. From 2000 Bio-Dev is also active member of National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (CLSI), ex NCCLS, not only for a continuous updating of diagnostic standards approved yet, but also to contribute to the formulation of new ones which are periodically submitted to the validation of active members.
