Zylber also joins the executive committee and will lead the group’s new research and development direction

Vygon, the specialist single-use medical devices group, has announced the appointment of Emmanuel Zylber as vice president of R&D. He also joins the group’s executive committee.

Emmanuel Zylber’s appointment comes as the Vygon Group aims to pursue a new R&D direction; in particular integrating the international teams, a stronger focus on research, developing strategic partnerships and implementing global product platforms. This new focus will support the group’s commercial development in strong growth areas, such as South America and Asia. Emmanuel Zylber officially took up his position in January 2015.

“We are delighted to welcome Emmanuel Zylber as our new vice president of R&D and expect him to bring a new dynamism to our research,” said Stéphane Regnault, chairman of Vygon’s board of management. “Emmanuel’s international applied experience is a perfect match for the Vygon Group’s approach and our plans for international roll-out.”

Before joining Vygon, Emmanuel Zylber was general manager of Sustainable Logistic Dynamics, an engineering company based in Paris. Prior to this, he was director of research and development at Scient’X, a medical device company specialized in spinal surgery. His experience in the medical device industry also includes working as principal engineer at Zimmer in Switzerland. Emmanuel Zylber holds a MSc degree from the Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Tarbes, he graduated in 1999 after completing his course at FCI Electronics (connectors) in the United States.
