The 2017 Vascular Annual Meeting will be held May 31-June 3, 2017 with Plenary Sessions and Exhibits held on June 1-3. The San Diego Convention Center will be hosting the 2017 VAM. The downtown convention center and hotels are conveniently located 10 minutes from the San Diego International Airport.

Weather

The average temperature for San Diego in June is a beautiful 70-degree high and a 60-degree low.

Attire

The attire for the conference is business casual during the day and resort casual for hospitality events.

Hotel Accommodations

The headquarters hotel is the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina Hotel. The official housing website, complete with discounted room rates, will open in early March 2017. Please do not call the hotel directly for reservations.

Americans With Disabilities Act Accommodations

Registrants who need specialized accommodations to participate in the Vascular Annual Meeting (i.e., large print or Braille materials; assistance obtaining motorized scooter rentals) should check the “Yes” box under Disability Accommodations on the Attendee Meeting Registration Form. Someone from the SVS office will call to discuss how we may assist you.

Ground Transportation

SuperShuttle provides 24-hour airport transportation. Upon your arrival at the airport, follow the signs to “Ground Transportation” and look for the SuperShuttle bus. For information and reservations, call 800-258-3826 or 858-974-8885 (International). Current rates are $8.00* per person each way for shared rides. SuperShuttle services all downtown hotels.

Taxi service is also available from the airport to the downtown hotels. Approximate fare is $25*, not inclusive of gratuity.

Parking

On-site private vehicle parking is available at the San Diego Convention Center's 1,950-vehicle underground garage located below the building. Enter the parking garage on Harbor Drive between First Ave. and Fifth Ave.

The daily rate is $15* per vehicle per day for Convention Center events but may raise to $35* on days when there is an event at PETCO Park.
Payment is due upon entry and there are no in and out privileges.
No overnight or RV parking is permitted.

Parking in Downtown San Diego

Directly across the street from the Convention Center, on the corner of Harbor and 8th Ave., is a 2,000-space parking structure.

Off-site parking is available at numerous nearby parking lots and garages in downtown San Diego, many are within walking distance of the convention center. Lots and garages are individually owned and operated; prices vary by location.
