The Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) has announced its 2020 Honorary Awards programme which recognises achievements in the field of medical imaging informatics.

 

The body is accepting online nominations for the awards until Friday, January 31, 2020.

“A primary goal of this programme is to promote and recognise the outstanding accomplishments and significant achievements of medical imaging informatics professionals. SIIM encourages all imaging informatics professionals from around the world to submit nominations,” said SIIM.

 

SIIM is inviting nominees for six award categories: the Gold Medal of the Society, the Dr. Joe Gitlin Award, the Dr. Ruth Dayhoff Award for the Advancement of Women in Medical Imaging Informatics, the Imaging Informatics Innovator Award, Early Career Achievement Award and the Educator Award.

 

Self-nominations are permitted.

 

The winners will be announced in April 2020 and presented during the SIIM 2020 Annual Meeting, June 24-26 in Austin, Texas.

 

The awards each come with an honorarium of between $1000 and $2500.
