Trakya University Hospital in Turkey has invested in Sectra's system for processing and archiving of digital radiology images (PACS) as well as service and support.

Trakya University Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in Turkey and handles approximately 150,000 radiology examinations annually. Through use of Sectra PACS, Trakya University Hospital will achieve fast and secure communication of images and patient information. It will contribute to the high quality of care and enable the hospital to care for more patients.

“As most patients undergo a radiology examination at one point or another, this investment in the efficient handling of images and patient information will have an impact on the efficiency of our entire hospital, thus enhancing the quality of care provided to our patients,” says Dr. Umit Nusret Basaran, head of Trakya University Hospital. “We plan to extend use of the enterprise solution delivered by Sectra to departments outside radiology, which will improve efficiency even further.”

The system was sold by Apaz Medikal, Sectra’s distribution partner for Turkey.
