The city is also known for its Imperial palaces, including Schönbrunn, the Habsburgs’ summer residence. In the MuseumsQuartier district, historic and contemporary buildings display works by Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt and other artists.

The ISUOG Congress offers an extraordinary opportunity to participate in our state-of-the-art scientific program. Submit your research and present it to one of the largest audiences in the field, listen to cutting-edge research with expert overviews and other high-level didactic activities.

• Registration fees includes membership for 2018 (Membership for ISUOG trainee members through an established partnership will run as per the agreement)

*Abstract submitters will benefit from a €100 discount off the applicable full registration fee. Discounts are not applicable to day registrations. A discount code will be provided at the end of the abstract submission process; please use this to register and receive your discount.

^ All sonographers and trainees will need to submit proof of their sonographer or trainee status by way of letter from their Department or Institution. The document can be uploaded at the time of registering or sent by email to [email protected]

Scientific program

ISUOG's Congress program is presented through a variety of sessions including plenary lectures, didactic workshops and Masterclass sessions where international experts are invited to deliver lively discussions on sub-speciality topics. Cutting-edge research updates comprise more than 50% of the program and are delivered through the oral communication, short oral and electronic poster sessions.

Live scan demonstrations are also an important feature of the main program, complimented by clinical guidance around new and developing technologies. This year we welcome again industry partners to the meeting and offer delegates the opportunity to attend sponsored satellite symposia over the course of the Congress.

In addition to the main congress program, pre-Congress courses are also available and will be delivered on Friday 15 September. Delegates can book onto the pre-congress courses for an additional fee.

Social program

The social program is a key highlight of the Congress and represents the perfect opportunity to relax with your peers and meet new contacts.

Opening ceremony and Welcome drinks

The Local Organising Commitee invite you to enjoy highlights of regional culture at the spectacular Opening ceremony. Drinks will served afterwards in the exhibtion hall to celebrate the start of the 27th World Congress.

Cost: Complimentary for all fully-registered delegates, accompanying persons and exhibitors. For day delegates, pre-Congress course ONLY delegates and non-registered accompanying persons there is a fee of €40 per person to include both the Opening ceremony and Welcome drinks.

Congress party

All registered delegates, accompanying persons and exhibitors are invited to book tickets for the Congress party which will take place in the beautiful Vienna Rathaus Festival Hall on Sunday 17th September 2017 from 19:00. The evening will include a 3 course meal and entertainment. You will be able to book your Congress party tickets at the time of registering.
