#EHMA2020 will look into a number of pertinent questions, such as:

What is the role of health management in leading the necessary changes towards better health systems and services?

How can managers help to go beyond silos-oriented healthcare and bridge innovation, sustainability, systems and people?

How can we scale up and integrate change in the healthcare ecosystem?

At #EHMA2020 six sub-themes will be explored
continuing the discussion launched in Finland during #EHMA2019 on six ‘pillars’ of healthcare change in Europe and beyond. The sub-themes are:

  • Systems & Organisational Governance

Focus area: Measuring performance in citizens’ centric health systems – How to make it happen?

  • Sustainability

Focus area: The SDGs as drivers for sustainable health management

  • Digital Transformation

Focus area: Data as a key tool for health managers

  • Personalisation

Focus area: Personalisation vs. quality care for all

  • Integration

Focus area: Breaking the silos – Interdisciplinary work to implement integrated care

  • Value-Based Healthcare

Focus area: From theory to practice – delivering the value-based transformation

More information on these is available here.

Each sub-theme has its ‘focus area,’ and abstracts submitters are encouraged to present papers addressing one of those. However, there is as well a wider range of keywords and topics worthy of further discussion, therefore any abstract responding to one of the sub-themes will be evaluated, even if not specifically addressing the focus area.

Only abstracts submitted online will be considered. In case of any issues with the system, please contact [email protected]. Before submitting, please read the guidelines here.

Abstracts can also be submitted under the Karolinska Medical Management Centre / EHMA Research Award (PhD Students’ session). This option is available to young researchers who are in the final phase of their PhD studies or have recently completed a PhD. Abstracts may not be linked to #EHMA2020 theme, but must be associated with a doctoral thesis in the field of health policy and management. The best papers will compete for a €1,000 prize during a dedicated conference session.

The deadline for the abstracts submission is 1March, 2020 at midnight CET.
