Dr. Roberto Frontini - President European Association of Hospital Pharmacists

European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP)

Currently Director of Pharmacy at the University Hospital of Leipzig where he began his career, Dr. Roberto Frontini has been President of the EAHP since 2009 after having been responsible for the organisation’s budget as Director of Finances for four years.

He started his professional experience in 1993 in Leipzig, two years later he moved to Cologne as Head of Pharmacy at St.Franziskus-Hospital, where he remained until 2001. That year he took up the post of Director of Pharmacy at the University Hospital of Leipzig and held it for a decade. During that time, Dr. Frontini lectured on Pharmacoepidemiology and Economics at the University of Leipzig, School of Pharmacy.

Born in Germany, Roberto Frontini gradutated in 1992, having studied Pharmacy at the University of Hamburg. He followed this with a Phd in pharmaceutical technology the same year, and completed a specialisation degree in Hospital Pharmacy in 1996.

Dr. Roberto Frontini’s research interest lies in patient safety.
