This event will provide a comprehensive update on optimal imaging in major trauma. It is aimed at radiology consultants, SpRs and radiographers but will also be of interest to junior and senior clinicians in the Emergency Department. It will cover areas including logistical aspects relating to trauma networks, a clinical perspective of major trauma and the role of imaging, a focus on optimal imaging protocols in major trauma including discussion of the challenges of image acquisition and systematic interpretation.

Educational aims:

- Discuss the key role of imaging in the trauma patient

- Describe best practice imaging protocols in major trauma

- Reinforce a systematic approach to interpretation of major trauma imaging
