The Society (Société Internationale de Sénologie) was founded in 1976 by Dr. Charles-Marie Gross, father of the modern breast imaging and forger of the concept of senology. The SIS promotes educational activities through courses of our International School of Senology, international congresses, with our main event – the SIS world congress in Senology taking place every two years.

The SIS has implemented the accreditation program for breast cancer centers and engages in collaborative activities with more than 100 affiliated institutions.
