SMART STAT Basic is an affordable patient simulator which can be used by students for ALS training. Instructors can use applications from iPad® to evaluate the students' knowledge, skills and critical thinking abilities. It can function in laboratories and can be used in the field for diagnostic purposes. It also has functions very similar to a real human body so that students may be able to measure blood pressure, pulse, breathing and even practice some medical techniques. SMART STAT Basic has the capability to record student performance which can be accessed via a computer where event logs are recorded in chronological order.
