It is also used to assist and check the endotracheal tube placement during the intubation period. The machine has a distinct breath tone for the process. Besides giving pulse rate data, precise blood oxygen saturation and a visual respiration indicator, the device also permits the absolute or parallel utilization of the pulse oximeter and EtCO2 detector.
