The Sarstedt forensic swabs are optimized for collecting reference samples and evidence of DNA traces at crime scenes. They come in tubes with self-drying mechanism through a ventilation membrane to avoid contamination. They are manufactured under strictly sterile conditions using a special EtO sterilisation method to meet forensic analysis standards. Some available models include the Forensic Swab L that has an extended handle ideal for the hygienic collection of samples and the Forensic Swab XL that has an extended stem ideal for the collection of evidence in sexual assault cases. The Sarstedt swabs also come in polystyrene or wooden stems.
