The Thermo Scientific* Sorvall Primo centrifuge series offers a wide array of optional rotors and accessories and features top speeds of up to 15,000 rpm. This centrifuge series can function as high-performance or general-purpose centrifuges. The units are compact and provide the capabilities of 3 tabletop centrifuges in one instrument, which makes it perfect for clinical use and small laboratories. The units are also available with or without refrigeration. The units have a capacity of 400 mL and feature a touch keypad microprocessor control. All parameters are seen on a digital display. They also feature variable speed/RCF/time control as well as a quick run key for short spins. Sensitive samples can take advantage of two acceleration options and nine braking curves. Current settings are also retained by the memory. Optional rotor/adapater combinations are available. The series has a dual lid-locking mechanism and automatically recognizes the rotor. Electronic imbalance can be detected by the system. The drive motor operates quietly and dont require maintenance.
