ZephyrLIFE is a comprehensive patient monitoring system for low-acuity wards where traditional telemetry is either too expensive, too cumbersome to deploy or simply not available at all. ZephyrLIFE makes use of the patient-worn BioPatch that wirelessly transmits the patient’s vital signs to a dedicated workstation. Heart rate, respiration rate, ECG and highly accurate positional and activity information are visualized and updated every minute. This near-real time display of crucial vital signs aides the development of treatment protocols for patients that need to ambulate, are under pain medication or may have previously undetected co-morbidities.
