The ELECTRA is a limb galvanic bath that is designed to provide application of galvanic current in water on the lower and upper extremities. While flowing from limb to limb, the current causes polarization of the tissues. This polarization can be considered as an extracellular and intracellular temporary disorder of the dynamic metabolic derangement. Protection against this condition is offered by a neural and humoral controlled reaction. Firstly, the polarization is de-administered by a hyperaemy, which is mainly in the capillary zones. The ELECTRA is administered primarily at central nervous system failures, as well as spondylous painful syndromes, non-paralytic poliomyelitis, etc. It can also be used to help patients with degenerative and chronic inflammatory disorders of he motor system and rheumatic muscle diseases.
