The Bioact IF Osteotrans screw repairs tendons in need of reconstruction for anterior and posterior cruciate ligament tears and injuries. Using new technology from WOLF, the Osteotrans screw works using bioactive and bioresorbable procedures. Made from special polymers, the implants will completely biodegrade in the body. The implant is also capable of bioresorbability. The implant is made of Poly-L-Lactide (PLLA) and Hydroxyapatitie (HA) that works osteoconductive in the surrounding bones. The unique composite of the screws allows trabecular structures to actually grow into the implanted screw in a short time frame, promoting quick healing.
