Position description
This position is located in London. Qualified candidates must be eligible to work in the U.K. and have an active registered U.K. general nurse license. Relocation is not provided.The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. The RN will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model in conjunction with London, United Kingdom's Department of Nursing, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. The RN provides leadership through activities such as preceptor role, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts. The RN delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability and availability of resources. The RN possesses excellent communication skills; is skillful in mentoring and teaching; and may participate on committees or projects. A subset of employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle as a part of the responsibility of their role.

Qualifications
The General Practice Nurse will meet the following requirements:
  • Registered General Nurse with valid NMC pin, minimum of 2 years post-registration experience in endoscopy.

Additional qualifications
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prioritise and co-ordinate own workload. They will be friendly and adaptable—able to work as part of a team and have an awareness of clinical audit and clinical governance and have IT competency.

It is a condition of employment that the successful candidate be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 prior to the Commencement Date. ‘Fully vaccinated’ means that you have received 2 doses of an approved 2 dose vaccine (such as Pfizer or AstraZeneca) or one dose of an approved single dose vaccine (such as Janssen). You must have had your final dose at least 14 whole days before the Commencement Date. If you have a medical reason for not being vaccinated, you must inform us as far in advance prior to the Commencement Date as possible so that we may determine whether and how a reasonable adjustment or accommodation may be made.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum annual salary is £41,997.
