Primary Purpose:

Support curriculum-based education products that focus on pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine, including the CHEST SEEK Education product line and related case-based offerings, CHEST Simulation activities, the Certificate of Completion (COC) program, and other educational offerings through the communication and coordination of clinician committee initiatives, driven by CHEST governance and leadership operation standards. Coordinate the development of product line assets and offerings, such as subscription-based web and mobile app content, printed books, and asynchronous courses, as well as content communications designed to enhance the reach and understanding of these products, such as newsletter blurbs, social media posts, and print and online ads. Provide administrative and product management assistance to support education operations, cross-training to provide coverage as needed, and special projects.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate a passion for crushing lung disease and embody CHEST values: honor the team, lead with integrity, leverage passion, cultivate innovation, and have serious fun.
  2. Support the coordination, production, and delivery of content assets associated with the SEEK product line and COC offerings by assisting CHEST supervisor with operational tasks including, but not limited to, liaising with key subject matter experts and other stakeholders; providing content management system (CMS) administration, quality assurance, and proofreading support; and testing, implementing, and deploying web and mobile app material.
  3. Demonstrating superior verbal and written communications, provide administrative support as primary notetaker for video conference and in-person committee and editorial board meetings.
  4. Assist with data extraction, report generation, and distribution to stakeholders. With an emphasis on collecting and utilizing data-driven metrics, support assigned products by contributing to content marketing communications.
  5. Assist in facilitating and creating responses to customers and other related communications to assigned products by directly liaising with CHEST supervisor, customer support team, and/or other relevant stakeholders.
  6. Provide regular monitoring and governance of learner-based networks, such as e-library discussion boards. Track e-library topic interests and engagement data.
  7. Support CHEST product management best practices by providing direction to assigned product roadmaps by employing a customer-centric viewpoint, determining customer problems and potential resolutions, and engaging in competitor review and research.
  8. Support governance of curriculum-based products by contributing and maintaining any assigned taxonomy structures within metadata.
  9. Work with CHEST staff to procure in-kind equipment for all simulation activities, including CHEST Headquarters, CHEST Annual Meeting, and international events with timely submissions and updates to stakeholders.
  10. Support in-kind equipment requirements with accreditation documentation, contract initiation submissions, netFORUM updates, shipment coordination, distribution of grant reconciliation needs, and routing of payments received.

 

Other Functions/Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain working knowledge of various systems and workflows required to execute division education activities, such the learning management site, association management software, among others.
  2. As assigned, collaborate with staff accreditation liaison in the collection and submission of enduring content material and/or audit files in accordance with ACCME standards and policies.
  3. As assigned, drive electronic invoicing and payment submission processes for volunteer committees, editorial boards, and/or product vendors.
  4. On an as-needed basis, provide administrative support to the Chief Learning Officer, the Director, Live Learning and Simulation, and other division leads, including scheduling meetings and calls, assisting with meeting set up and call hosting, responding to inquiries and communicating with partners and members, routing documents for approval, maintenance of department files, and assist with tracking metrics for key performance indicators and goals.
  5. Ensure adherence to all CHEST policies and procedures, and demonstrate a commitment to continual process improvement and teamwork.

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

  1. Bachelors degree in journalism, English, life sciences, or related field, with exceptionally developed written and organizational skills.
  2. An action-focused orientation, readily assuming and executing on new opportunities with positivity.
  3. Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks with an attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as be a strong individual contributor.
  5. Ability to problem solve and offer recommended courses of action to new issues as they arise.
  6. Familiarity with AMA, AP, and other editorial styles; knowledge of pulmonary, cardiac, and/or thoracic terminology.
  7. Experience working within CMS, web, and mobile applications.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Google products in a Mac environment.
  9. Experience and interest in working within data platforms for the collection of metrics.
  10. Ability to accommodate occasional travel.
