Position Description

The Executive Director will oversee operations in the local Landmark Health market, working to ensure high quality patient care, excellence in client relations and meeting of all financial, operational, and quality metrics.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from either OK City OR Tulsa, OK.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-the-ground owner for all business outcomes, working in partnership with the Regional President, Chief Clinical Officer and Regional Director of Clinical Operations to sets and meet utilization goals, operational and quality metrics as follows:
    • Accountable for market to reach goals on Landmark Value equation: gross savings, program cost, engagement, and documentation
    • Accountable for meeting market EBITDA budget
    • Regular review of key operational metrics and reports to track performance
    • Proactively identify and problem solve obstacles to reaching targets
    • Accountable for overall market performance related to Landmark Value equation (engagement, gross savings, program cost, HCC documentation and coding) and all sub-operational and clinical metrics
    • Incorporation of Landmark’s mission, vision, and values into market culture
  • Cultivate solid community relations with community PCPs, specialists, acute care, SNF, LTC and ALF facilities
  • Ownership of patient engagement metrics, strategies and tactics
  • In partnership with Regional Leadership Team, employ an entrepreneurial approach to market growth
  • As appropriate or useful for reaching market goals, pursue and develop innovative community partnerships (e.g.: HIE, fire department, community social services etc.)
  • Solicit and build new potential client relationships in market- Exec. Director should partner with Landmark Business Development, but also be driven to independently push forward any market growth conversations and tactics
  • Work with local team and corporate to identify and implement innovative approaches to drive net savings and improve documentation
  • Recruit, hire, manage and retain a high performing team at all levels
  • Provide oversight for continuous quality improvement initiatives. Build and maintain positive relationships with health plan business and clinical counterparts
  • Serve as the key account manager for the health plan relationship, including but not limited to leading Joint Operating Committee meetings, attending key executive meetings and serving as a partner for operational needs as they arise.
  • Collaborate with the clinical and operational leadership to plan and execute initiatives to continuously improve the clinical delivery model
  • Monitor all metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and/or staff education to produce optimal outcomes
  • Coach, mentor, and counsel mid-level clinical managers/supervisors/leads to meet expected performance levels
  • Promote the Landmark program in the local provider, facility and health plan community, to foster growth of existing programs and develop new health plan relationships
  • Appropriately escalate management issues and risks to appropriate Regional, Clinical or Operations Leader
  • Participate with senior management on special projects/initiatives
  • Provide local expertise in new business development
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related field or business administration, Masters level
  • 8+ years of administrative / management experience preferred in health care, preferably in the managed care setting
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Calendar

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $113,500 to $218,100. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $113,500 to $218,100. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
