We are looking for a Health and Safety professional to provide expertise, guidance and Health and Safety leadership for a group of Hospices who are leaders in compassionate end of life care.

 

Position: Health and Safety Manager

 

Salary: £35,975 per annum

 

Location: Warwick, Coventry & Rugby

 

Hours: full time, part time also considered

About the role:

As Health and Safety Manager you will work across all aspects of the Hospice including clinical services, fundraising events, head office functions and shops. Delivery of Health and Safety related training for staff and volunteers including Fire Warden and manual handling is also a key part of the role.

As a Manager within the Hospice you will get to know all aspects of the charity, and play a key part in ensuring the safety of the environments within for patients, visitors, staff and volunteers. You will be responsible for liaising with the senior leadership team on issues relating to Health and Safety, ensuring that they are informed and that the organisation keeps up to date with Health and Safety legislation.

 

About you:

This role is varied and wide ranging so we are looking for someone who thrives on a varied role within a health care or not for profit organisation.

 

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

  • NEOBOSH Diploma qualified or working towards this
  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within a healthcare or Non-Profit setting
  • expert in Health and Safety legislation and best practise
  • Overall knowledge of the CQC
  • IT literate with Microsoft packages
  • An in depth understanding of Fire safety requirements
  • Chartered Member of IOSH
  • Ability to travel across sites

 

This role will require some flexibility of working hours and covers 3 Hospices and 25 shops, as such part-time hours will be considered (min 30 per week) as well as a flexible approach to working hours.
