Logan Hospital are looking for a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist to join their team. Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing regions in the state and provides a range of specialty services for children and adults. Our emergency department is one of the busiest in the state, seeing more than 88,000 presentations each year.

About The Role

 

  • In accordance with the philosophy of the Metro South Hospital and Health Service, the incumbent will be expected to provide high quality clinical care to patients requiring Gastroenterology services within the Department of Gastroenterology, Logan Hospital and associated sites in Metro South.
  • The successful applicant will be required to provide inpatient and outpatient care of patients including consultative service and procedural support by applying high-level medical expertise. In particular, expertise in, general gastroenterology with or without subspecialties including IBD or hepatology is highly desirable.
  • The successful applicant will be required to provide participate in a roster for gastroenterology services to ensure that Consultant cover is available on remote-call after hours, as rostered by the Director or proxy.
