Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) is leading on the clinical and operational transformation of acute paediatric healthcare and consists of hospitals at CrumlinTemple Street and Tallaght. The three children’s hospitals and CHI’s Corporate Office transitioned from four separates, independently governed entities into one new single organisation effective from 1st January 2019 to govern and operate paediatric services in Dublin. 

 

This new organisation will operate as a single service across the existing locations of Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and the CHI Corporate Office before transitioning to the new facilities at the two paediatric outpatient and urgent care centres at Connolly and Tallaght Hospitals and the new children’s hospital on the campus shared with St James’s Hospital.

 Post 2 – Consultant Anaesthesiologist with a special interest in Paediatric Anaesthesiology – 29.5 hours Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin and 10 hours per week at Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street (with a 50% commitment to pain   management – 9.5 hours Crumlin and 10 hours Temple Street) – OCANKA21

POST 2 JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Post 3 – Consultant Anaesthesiologist with a special interest in Pain Medicine – 10 hours per week Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin and 9.5 hours per week at Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street – OCANKA14 

POST 3 JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Applicants must be:-

 

All posts – Registered as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Anaesthesiology

And

Posts 1 & 2 – Have two years certified postgraduate training in paediatric anaesthesiology

Post 3 – Have one year certified postgraduate training in pain medicine

 

A proleptic appointment may be considered.

 

Essential requirements – registration with the Irish Medical Council or entitlement to be registered.
