Technical Deployment Specialist (Healthcare IT)

The Technical Deployment Specialist (TDS) Healthcare IT is responsible for configuring, installing, testing and documenting the full line of Agfa HealthCare solutions using a combination of on-site and remote work. The TDS will ensure consistent delivery and installation of servers, storage, networking, and Operating Server configurations. Basic knowledge in the DICOM, HL7, and IHE domain and PACS applications required.

The TDS resource will require flexibility to travel up to 60% travel to perform work and meet with clients and other stakeholders.  Weekend activities may be necessary to meet project deliverables.

This is a Home-based position and can be anywhere in the US, close to a major airport.

This position travels to our customer sites and therefore requires proof of full vaccination against Covid-19.

Main Responsibilities:

• Configure server networking and interface with customer networking teams
• Provide support to the Project team around the infrastructure deployment.
• Project Planning, documentation, and technical subject matter expert 
• Support Technical Project Manager (TMP), Technical Lead (TL), and Sr. Deployment Specialist (Sr.DS)
• Project assistance and support for edge Agfa project like XERO integrations, BI, etc.
• A primary focus at the base configuration of the application. 
• Align closely with other Global and Local teams to provide Knowledge sharing and identify improvements.
• Maintain deployment procedures and best practices by supporting business objectives and corporate principles.

Education:

• Associates or bachelor’s degree: preferably in one of the following disciplines - computer science, information systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• MCSE Server Infrastructure 2016 or higher -  credentials or at least equivalent experience
• CompTIA A+ or at least equivalent experience
• CompTIA Server + or at least equivalent experience
• Security ++

Experience and skills:

• 3 – 4 years of experience with associated IT technologies
• Implementation of knowledge of ESXi 6.0 and higher
• Intermediate networking knowledge in VM Environment
• Intermediate knowledge of Windows Server 2008 and greater
• Basic knowledge in the DICOM, HL7, and IHE domain and the PACS application
• Familiar with Oracle Linux 6 and higher
• Basic understanding of Load balancer configuration and support
• Basic knowledge of storage technologies (SAN and NAS) such as EMC, NetApp, HP, etc.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Team Player with the ability to work and interact with virtual teams.
• Must be eligible to travel within the US and Canada
• Must be eligible to apply for customer-initiated security clearances such as the US National Agency Check (NAC)
• Knowledge of deploying and supporting Linus and / Wintel servers physical and virtual
• Holding or Interested in completing the VMWare Certified Implementation Expert certification (not required but nice to have)
• Strong sense of initiative and a sense of urgency, demonstrated by accomplishing tasks; improving current work processes; and assisting others when necessary.
• Good ability to manage complex projects.  Excellent time management, communications, decision making, presentation, human relations, and organization skills.  Able to resolve problems promptly.
