• Addition of 12 new transducers in the portfolio opens new clinical use cases
  • Major software updates to Acuson Sequoia, Redwood, Juniper and P500

Siemens Healthineers shows its refreshed Acuson family at this year’s European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna. The refreshed ultrasound portfolio is designed to bring even more clinical adaptability and address challenges across various clinical applications. A new level of versatility is enabled by the introduction of 12 new transducers across four ultrasound systems and by expansion of AI-powered tools1, driving more efficiency and consistency for clinicians. The new systems are ideal for clinical routine and research, and by offering a wide variety of solutions can help expand access to care.

“The expansion of our Ultrasound family of products is the most comprehensive portfolio update in the last decade, demonstrating our commitment to offering a new level of versatility that increases diagnostic accuracy for clinicians and patients,” said Ajay Gannerkote, President of Ultrasound, Siemens Healthineers. “These new releases provide scalable and flexible solutions that meet needs across most clinical areas.”

Acuson Sequoia 2.0

perspective for each use case. Innovations include a new 3D/4D volume transducer, as well as AutoDoppler which can reduce carotid scan time and eliminate 25% of keystrokes3 by automatically steering and positioning color and pulsed Doppler. New insights and precision in quantitative ultrasound are delivered through next-generation breast shear-wave elastography and the migration of Ultrasound Derived Fat Fraction (UDFF) to the new 9C2 pediatric transducer. “I was blown away by the ease of use and informative aspects. Accurate, reliable, and easy to use. It is a game-changer,” said Professor Paul Sidhu, Professor of Radiology, King’s College University Hospital, London, UK, speaking about UDFF.

Acuson Redwood 2.0

Acuson Redwood 2.0 makes early diagnosis more affordable and accessible with the addition of three new transducers, advanced 3D/4D imaging for obstetrics and gynecology, and expansion of AI-powered tools1. To support cost-effective methods for early diagnosis and monitoring of various MSK injuries and conditions, Musculoskeletal users can access a lineup of linear transducers optimized for MSK imaging, including the ergonomic and lightweight 18H6 hockey stick transducer.

Acuson Juniper 2.0

Acuson Juniper 2.02 Integrated Battery Support allows up to 75 minutes of unplugged scanning for a rapid bedside assessment. As obesity and chronic liver disease increase globally, specialists can access the new 6C1 single crystal transducer equipped with Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS) and Liver Elastography to deliver a comprehensive liver evaluation. The new 14L4 all-in-one linear transducer redefines versatility in clinical imaging by setting the standard of a single transducer for breast, vascular, MSK and small parts imaging.

Acuson P500 3.0

Acuson P500 3.0 provides a fully equipped compact ultrasound system for clinics, institutions, and private practice. New additions include three transducers and applications designed to expand clinical flexibility right at the bedside. The lightweight 18H5 hockey stick delivers high-resolution near-field imaging for dynamic musculoskeletal assessment at the point of care. The Lung and FAST exam preset, and reporting allow for rapid emergency and critical care assessment when immediate results are vital.
