Parker Laboratories, Inc. announces the launch of UltraDrape™ UGPIV Barrier and Securement, the first-of-its-kind, uniquely designed dressing for use during Ultrasound-Guided Peripheral Intravenous (UGPIV) procedures.

The dual-action dressing was engineered to address the challenges that often arise with UGPIV such as: extended procedure times, securement failure – a result of inadequate gel removal, and increased risk of infection. UltraDrape was designed to be user-friendly and facilitate a no-touch aseptic procedure without compromising efficacy or impeding visualization.

According to Neal Buchalter, president of Parker Laboratories, “UltraDrape represents an unprecedented advancement enabling UGPIV practitioners to perform procedures efficiently, effectively, and at a significant cost savings when compared with use of sterile gels and covers. We are very excited to make UltraDrape available today through our worldwide distribution network.”

Since 1958, Parker Laboratories has been consistently positioned at the forefront of technological advances that characterize the ultrasound and electromedical industries. Parker’s flagship product, Aquasonic® 100 Ultrasound  Transmission Gel, is the world standard for medical ultrasound. UltraDrape™ UGPIV Barrier and Securement is available through medical supply distributors, or by contacting Parker Laboratories, Inc. at (973) 276-9500 or visit parkerlabs.com.
