WIDE Corporation will launch its new 6MP color diagnostic display at ECR this year. Wide-aspect-ratio colour diagnostic monitors are gaining popularity thanks to the efficiency and flexibility they offer,  enabling  comparison CT, MRI and ultrasound on the same screen enhancing efficiency and diagnosis.

During RSNA 2012 researchers from the Montefiore Medical Center discussed their preliminary findings about the advantages of using a 6MP instead of two 3 MP displays. The 6 MP display reduces eyestrain in long reading sessions and a reduction in average reading sessions was shown at 148 seconds compared to 183 seconds with two 3 MP displays.

The 6MP display’s ability to use both colour and grayscale also serves the trend of technology to use colour in diagnostic images.

WIDE’s 6 MP color display will have the same look and feel as the 10MP. It will have a LED-backlight, standard built-in calibrations sensor and a self-diagnosis option to offer the best after-sales-service.
