PACSGEAR has announced a new release of its powerful Quality Control tool for PACS/EHR, GEARView™ QC 2.0. The enhanced GEARView QC 2.0 now includes a comprehensive media import feature that lets hospitals and healthcare facilities securely upload and reconcile medical images and related results. This feature enables facility-to-facility imaging (F2F-I) and complements regional health information exchange (HIE) efforts.

According to PACSGEAR President, Brian J. Cavanaugh, “Adding image import to GEARView QC gives our customers a simple and cost-effective solution to manage the import process. When combined with our flagship product, PacsSCAN, this product provides a scalable platform for sharing media-based images and reports between facilities.”

The launch of GEARView™ QC 2.0 is planned for the upcoming 96th Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, from 28 November to 2 December 2010.
