PACSGEAR, a provider of imaging connectivity for electronic health records, today announced that Eli Rapaich has joined PACSGEAR as its new chief executive officer. Rapaich succeeds PACSGEAR co-founder Brian J. Cavanaugh, who will assume the role of chief operating officer. The new executive appointments are effective immediately. Rapaich brings over 25 years of sales, marketing, and management experience to the company.

“Eli is exactly the right leader for PACSGEAR,” said Cavanaugh. “His strong industry knowledge will propel the company to its next stage of evolution and growth. We are pleased to welcome Eli to PACSGEAR.”

“I am thrilled to be part of PACSGEAR and eager to work with our talented team and committed customers,” Rapaich said. “My goal is to build on PACSGEAR’s momentum and continue delivering solutions that solve our customers’ image management challenges throughout the enterprise.”

Rapaich has served as vice president of sales at Philips Healthcare since 2005. Previously, he led sales at Stentor, which was acquired by Philips in 2005. Before joining Stentor in 2001, Rapaich held positions at Cemax-Icon and Acuson.
