The Regional Medical Centre at Memphis (The MED) of Memphis, Tenn., has purchased Carestream Health's VueRIS with embedded voice recognition to achieve more efficient scheduling and reporting for all radiology exams including mammography.

“In addition to advanced features such as embedded voice recognition, the exceptional functionality of Carestream’s RIS enables us to boost efficiency and adapt our radiology workflow as our needs change,” said Rob Sumter, The MED’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “This RIS also offers powerful scheduling tools, mammography-specific tracking and reporting and other features that will streamline exam reading and reporting functions.”

The MED recently upgraded its Carestream Health VuePACS to obtain vendor-neutral archiving and innovative reading tools including automatic registration for volumetric exams and other advanced features that are available to any authorised user at any location. Vue PACS delivers a host of productivity-enhancing features and itsopen architecture interfaces easily with other clinical systems including EHR/EMR platforms.
