Medical imaging industry veteran Dr. Chip Truwit, neuroradiologist, joins Philips Diagnostic Imaging Business Group as Chief Medical Officer to provide medical leadership and radiology expertise to clinical vision.

Speaking on the subject, Dr Truwit said: "Radiology is going through tremendous changes, and AI will be core to those changes. In this new role, I hope to help Philips, as well as the patients and professionals who benefit from Philips' products and programs, by bringing my clinical experience to bear on the evolution and transformation of Philips Healthcare to its future state as it merges traditional imaging into the holistic view of the digital patient."

Dr Truwit is due to commence the role starting 04/08/19.
