EUSOBI
On March 06, 2015, the kick-off meeting of the newly founded EUSOBI Young Club, took place at ECR in Vienna, Austria. The EUSOBI Young Club aims to create connections and foster collaborations between medical students, residents, PhD students, and young radiologists with an interest in research in breast imaging and to exchange ideas, knowledge and information on an international platform.Twenty young funding members from all over Europe not only attended the kick-off meeting but also supported the breast imaging experts at the EUSOBI booth during a daily lunch-time “Meet the Experts Q&A” session.

* Reduced member registrations are available to all active EUSOBI Members in 2015.
** Reduced resident registrations will be offered to residents (young radiologists in training). Residents have to send, fax or email a letter, written on official hospital letter paper and signed by the head of department, confirming their status as such within 5 working days after on-line registration. In case this confirmation is not received, the registration fee will be automatically adjusted to a regular fee. The age limit for a registration as a resident is set at 35 years (incl. the age of 35).

Programme Details
An important part of this 5-day course are the hands-on training sessions in which participants individually read about 900 screening examinations. At the end of each session, there will be an interactive discussion with the trainer and other participants. Furthermore, the programme will incorporate a series of lectures by several experts in the field of radiology, pathology, breast cancer screening, epidemiology, physico-technical aspects of digital breast cancer screening.Target group
The course is designed for radiologists who (will) perform Breast Cancer Screening or are interested in Breast Cancer Screening.
Course aims
On completion of this course, participants are able to act as radiologist in a screening situation in such a way that they ensure the correct balance between detection, specificity and the associated efforts and costs.
- To explain the procedures and state of affairs with regards to screening.
- To decide whether a mammogram can be evaluated based on the positioningtechnique and (physico-technical) image quality.
- To refer clients and assign BI-RADS status according to professional standards.
- To name and understand the impact and added value of important developments in the field of breast cancer screening.
