IDKD Course, 2022 "Musculoskeletal Diseases" & Fundamentals in Imaging
The Musculoskeletal IDKD and the "Fundamentals" courses will be held both in the face-to-face format and also online.
Online access to sessions - real time and recorded - will be granted to all paid participants. Recorded sessions will be available after the course until the end of June 2022.
Face-to-face courses will comply with the current Swiss Covid regulations: 2G (vaccinated, boosted or recovered) + face masks obligatory inside. We are monitoring the situation and will keep the participants informed.
Online courses will offer the full course program in real time (interactive with chat function) and recorded.
Access to the online courses and recorded sessions will be granted to the participants, who paid their registration fees.
The fees for the online courses will remain the same as for the face-to-face courses.
The participants of the online courses will receive:
- Attendance certificates and CME certificates upon the completion of the course- and attended sessions evaluations forms
- The IDKD course participants will receive a printed copy of the IDKD Book on Musculoskeletal Diseases (2021-2024) by post.

Course objectives
- Teach the participants effective approaches in analysing diagnostic imaging challenges
- Allow the participants to recognize key imaging features of various diseases through guided self study
- Teach the participants the most effective imaging examination in various types of settings
- Offer participants to interact with top international experts
Some additional information about this course
- Lectures are presented daily by senior experts on "hot topics", new developments or political issues in radiology or associated sciences.
- The IDKD Book written by the Workshop teachers is included in the registration fee.
- Film Reading Panel is a diagnostic competition by selected experts. Participants can provide the answers to the cases during the Panel. Prizes will be awarded.
- The case viewing is supported by a special software, uniquely developed for IDKD and drawing from the extensive expertise with electronic teaching accumulated by IDKD over the last years.
- IDKD cases needed for the Workshops are provided online during the course and will remain available online after the course.
- The IDKD will not provide rental laptops. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops (PC or Mac) to view cases. 220V electric outlets will be available in the classrooms.
- The Teachers will have an opportunity to conduct surveys, and the participants to vote. In order to participate in polls we recommend to install our IDKD App for your smartphone.
- With the current course schedule offering shorter lunch breaks, IDKD will provide lunch to all the participants. All Course lunches are included in the ticket fee. During the online registration process, please select either a meat or vegetarian menu option. When schedule allows, hot meat and vegetarian meals will be served buffet style.
- If you wish to be placed in the same class with your colleague, once you are registered, you would be able to request this electronically via MyUserArea. Please put your request through as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
