La Pitié-Salpêtrière Cardiology Institute of Paris will organize the International ECOS-TCS Congress, in Paris, on June 18-19, 2020!
This year Congress opens a new window on all forms of extracorporeal organ support, ecompassing cardiac, respiratory, kidney and liver support and blood purification techniques…
Indeed, the broader term of ECOS, or ExtraCorporeal Organ Support should now be used to define the systems and platforms designed to support or replace organs compromised by sepsis, trauma, or specific cardiac, respiratory, kidney, or liver acute diseases.
A specific congress track will be dedicated to Temporary Circulatory Support (TCS)devices, that are increasingly used by interventional cardiologists and intensivists to treat cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction and end-stage cardiac failure.
The Congress will provide state-of-the-art discussions on the indications and results of extracorporeal gas exchange techniques (venovenous ECMO and ECCO2R) for acute respiratory failure.
