ESAIC Focus Meeting 2022

The Focus Meeting is a traditional Autumn appointment for the ESAIC Community. Each year, a different topic related to Perioperative Medicine is the focus of the congress.

This year’s Focus Meeting will spotlight the perioperative care of patients at risk for myocardial damage occurring after noncardiac surgery. The new developments in the understanding of this disease, its consequences in terms of perioperative morbidity and mortality, how the new monitoring techniques can help us in detecting the subjects at risk, and the potential therapeutic pathways that are being investigated will all be discussed. This two-day event will feature internationally recognised leaders in the field who will share their knowledge and expertise on these specific topics.

The contribution of international Key Opinion Leaders will provide a great opportunity to gain further knowledge of clinical practice and improvement of patient care. The congress will be supplemented by different session formats, traditional and interactive, to offer a wide range of learning opportunities of delegates.

The Focus Meeting will bring together over 200 experts in the field, who will have the possibility to learn, mingle and network with faculty and peers.

During the two-day meeting, top speakers from many different countries will discuss the perioperative care of patients at risk for myocardial damage occurring after noncardiac surgery. The new developments in the understanding of this disease, its consequences in terms of perioperative morbidity and mortality, how the new monitoring techniques can help us in detecting the subjects at risk, and the potential therapeutic pathways that are being investigated will all be discussed.
