 Ladies and gentlemen,

dear members of the DGAI,

“Taking responsibility – providing security – strengthening networks”: This is the motto of our DGAI Annual Congress 2026 at the Kassel Congress Center.

Our field “taking responsibility” – as partners, networkers, and a unifying element within the healthcare system, we are at the heart of patient care. In this key role, we have a special responsibility for quality, safety, and stability. We “provide security” – in everyday life as well as in challenging times.

We cordially invite you to Kassel, the city of documenta, from September 16–18, 2026, to "strengthen our networks." The annual congress thrives on collaboration—as a team that learns together, engages in solution-oriented discussions, builds networks, and benefits from the open, interprofessional exchange of knowledge between practice and research.

As in the past two years, you can look forward to engaging lectures, practical workshops, and poster sessions offering important insights into basic and clinical research. The goal is to translate this knowledge into practice and direct patient care, while simultaneously discussing the innovations of tomorrow.

Let's once again make Kassel the meeting place for our field! We warmly invite you to contribute your experiences, share perspectives, and take away inspiration that will have an impact at the bedside tomorrow—for responsible, safe, and interconnected medicine.
