 Why CCR is Different

Science

We are fortunate to host the results presentations of some of the biggest, best and most important trials of the year, many with simultaneous publications in the major general medical journals. Meetings don't come more impactful than CCR.

Time

One of the biggest differences between CCR and other meetings is time - we allow sufficient time for a trial to be comprehensively presented, discussed, dissected, and ultimately, understood. Ten years of work can't be condensed into 10 minutes, and nor should it.

Discussion

A hallmark of our meetings is the amount of discussion which takes place. With an independent editorialist, audience questions, and an expert panel, each session ensures a rich and deep conversation explores every trial fully.

Atmosphere

We fuse world class science with superb local culture. The CCR meetings are famous for the ambiance created by a host of different live musical acts throughout each of the 3 days of the meeting. Our wonderful resident musicians, the ARCO string quartet, open every morning, starting the day as we mean to go on.

Welcome

Céad míle fáilte - a hundred thousand welcomes. We're known for our hospitality in this part of the world! With a welcome reception on the first evening, as well as two nighttime live music events, delegates have plenty of opportunity to meet old friends and new. Faculty and delegates party the night away, maintaining the community feel to CCR.

Setting

Does any meeting have a setting as spectacular as ours? Titanic Belfast is situated overlooking the slipway where RMS Titanic was built and launched. Soak up the history with a tour of the world renowned Titanic exhibition at the end of day 2. How many stories does everyone in the world knows? Come experience ours.

Ethics

CCR is famously altruisitc and inclusive. We are one of few meetings to provide a free livestream, ensuring equity of access to important scientific results. We provide a free on-site professional creche (now closed for 2026), as well as reduced delegate rates for those from LMIC countries, and those on maternity or paternity leave. CCR is not-for-profit.

Stay a While...

Belfast is a city steeped in history and culture. It's proving ever more popular with tourists, with visitor numbers rising year on year. Outside the city, the world famous North Coast is a must see destination. And if you fancy going a little further, Ireland is an incredibly scenic island, with amazing history, culture, sights, activities and people.

Don't Believe Us?

Don't just take our word for it. Check out the videos below, taken after each of the last number of CCR meetings in Belfast, and see what our faculty and delegates have to say. It's the best critical care meeting in the world is a commonly used phrase.....

Join us in June for CCR26.

Registration is Open!

Individual Registration

Please fill in the form below to register for the Critical Care Reviews Meeting 2026. There are multiple options so please read carefully.

Please choose from one of (A) Consultant / Specialist / Attending, (B) Non-Consultant Doctor, (C) Nurse or Allied Health Professional, (D) Student or (E) Industry Representative. Within each of these four groups there are options to attend (i) in person at full rate, (ii) in person at a reduced rate if currently working in a low or middle income country (as defined by the OECD) (iii) in person at a reduced rate if on maternity or paternity leave at the time of the meeting, (iv) virtually and claim CPD points and (iv) virtually on a reduced maternity / paternity leave rate and claim CPD points.

Lunch and coffee breaks are included with registration, along with a wine reception at the end of day 1.

Please note the meeting will be freely livestreamed - a virtual registration is necessary if you wish to claim CPD / CME points. Our meeting is freely livestreamed to give equity of access to our colleagues in low and middle income countries. We encourage virtual attendees from high income countries to support our meeting by either registering as a virtual delegate or making a donation.

If you are able, please consider supporting a delegate from a low or middle income country to attend. We will also be undertaking a tree planting programme, to help offset our carbon footprint.

Our social programme is subject to a separate charge and is available in option (H). It includes events on Wednesday and Thursday nights after completion of the scientific programme. There are 3 events on the night of Wednesday June 10th: a free wine reception for all delegates, followed by a walk through the Titanic Exhibition (paid) and later, live music at a yet undecided venue in Belfast (paid). There is limited availability for all social events, so please don't wait to book these.
