The Society for Technology in Anesthesia (STA), founded in 1988, is an international organization of physicians, engineers, students and others with an interest in anesthesia-related technologies. Membership is open to all who are interested. The International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS) journal, Anesthesia & Analgesia, is STA's official publication. A biannual newsletter, Interface, is published and available online.
The Society holds a three-day Annual Meeting.
The Society also organizes a panel and dinner lecture during the October Annual Meeting of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).
The STA is accredited through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), and all its scientific meetings are designed in accordance with ACCME essentials and guidelines.
