Our Philosophy

The Critical Care Reviews Meeting is a truly unique event, where our aim is to share science rather than make money. For those who can't attend in person and don't require CPD points, we will be livestreaming the event for free. All talks are recorded and made freely available on the CCR website. Our annual book, summarising the best trials of the previous year, is given to delegates and a pdf copy made freely available for downloading. For those who do make it, we aim to have a minimal impact on our environment, with carbon offsetting in the form of tree planting, minimal plastics, and a focus on local food. We provide unrivalled on-site childcare at minimal cost, reduced maternity and paternity rates and a baby feeding area. We try to match scientific excellence with global equity and environmental responsibility. Critical Care Reviews is not-for-profit.

The Science

While we take pride in providing a culturally rounded event, the Critical Care Reviews Meeting is a scientific conference, highlighting the best critical care trials in the world. We host major trial results. Every trial result is allocated a full 90 minute session, including 30 minutes for the results presentation, 15 minutes for an independent editorial, 10 minutes open questions and a 30 minute expert panel discussion. Previously, we reviewed major trials published within the previous 12 months, but due to the pressure on our programme to include first result presentations, we are no longer able to do this. We believe we provide the finest format for presenting trial results in the world.

The Atmosphere

The vibe of our Meeting is different too, with high class science presented and discussed in an open, friendly format. Our social programme matches our scientific programme, with superb night events, as well as early morning exercise options. Alternatively, take the time to explore our home city Belfast, which is remarkably vibrant and culturally rich. If you have time to stay for a few days or longer, get outside the city and explore the island - there are few more beautiful places in the world.

Registration

Individual Registration

Please fill in the form below to register for the Critical Care Reviews Meeting 2025. There are multiple options so please read carefully.

Please choose from one of (A) Consultant / Specialist / Attending, (B) Non-Consultant Doctor, (C) Nurse or Allied Health Professional, (D) Student or (E) Industry Representative. Within each of these four groups there are options to attend (i) in person at full rate, (ii) in person at a reduced rate if currently working in a low or middle income country (as defined by the OECD) (iii) in person at a reduced rate if on maternity or paternity leave at the time of the meeting, (iv) virtually and claim CPD points and (iv) virtually on a reduced maternity / paternity leave rate and claim CPD points.

Lunch and coffee breaks are included with registration, along with a wine reception at the end of day 1.

Please note the meeting will be freely livestreamed - a virtual registration is necessary if you wish to claim CPD / CME points. It is anticipated 18 CPD / CME points will be applied for from the Royal College of Anaesthetists in the UK. Our meeting is freely livestreamed to give equity of access to our colleagues in low and middle income countries. We encourage virtual attendees from high income countries to support our meeting by either registering as a virtual delegate or making a donation.

If you are able, please consider supporting a delegate from a low or middle income country to attend. We will also be undertaking a tree planting programme, to help offset our carbon footprint.

Our social programme is subject to a separate charge and is available in option (H). It includes events on Wednesday and Thursday nights after completion of the scientific programme. There are 3 events on the night of Wednesday June 11th: a free wine reception for all delegates, followed by a walk through the Titanic Exhibition (paid) and later, live music at a yet undecided venue in Belfast (paid). There is limited availability for all social events, so please don't wait to book these.

If you wish to register more than one person for the conference or the social events, please complete the form below, and then email [email protected] with the details required by the form for each individual. Each individual will receive an registration email subsequently. If you wish to pay offline, please contact [email protected].

If you require a letter to support a visa application please email us at [email protected].

Your registration email will contain your entrance ticket - please do not delete it.

A link to claim your attendance certificate will be emailed shortly after the meeting ends.
