We cordially invite you to the 19th DIVI Congress, which will take place in Hamburg from 4 to 6 December 2019 under the motto "Cooperation leads to Development".
Cooperation leads to development. We see this every day, also with and in politics. Organizations, structures and congresses are always the most exciting when people from different groups come together. And that is the DIVI - different people, groups, energies, opinions, even dogmas, and we talk to each other, we work together, we develop, ourselves and our structures, for the benefit of our patients and for the benefit of ourselves - our resilience.
Nursing with doctors, people of different disciplines and disciplines help each other and complement each other, rescue service personnel, emergency paramedics and emergency physicians, and it is always about the best competence in communication, knowledge and skills. All measures should always be carried out by the person who best controls them, together, interdisciplinary and interprofessional. Patient safety and optimal care are the most important thing. And of course respect, good cooperation and communication, mutual appreciation and sustainability - that is our culture.
The DIVI stands for all this, and the DIVI stands for intensive care and emergency medicine - both are a human right. We can be very happy about the fact that intensive care and emergency medicine are interdisciplinary with us - cooperation leads to development.
We also need political support, enough staff, enough resources. It is important to secure one of the best health systems in the world and develop well. "Knowledge and happiness are the only thing that doubles when you share it," says Albert Schweitzer. It fits, and it fits in with our DIVI "KIDS SAVE LIVES" event as part of our "World Restart a Heart" initiative. Together we can wonderfully get life, treat diseases and develop perspectives.
In this spirit, I am looking forward to spending time together in Hamburg and to a spectacular DIVI congress, where we will celebrate together.
