Australasian College for Emergency Medicine Annual Scientific Meeting 2018

We’re really excited about hosting the 35th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) in Perth in November 2018.

Our theme – ‘On the Edge’ – reflects Perth’s location looking out over the beautiful Indian Ocean at sunset and also neatly leads on to multiple different facets of life in Emergency Medicine:

On the edge of life and death; on the edge of society; on the edge of the future while remembering the past; on the edge of new technologies; on the edge of our own personal wellbeing.

Come and soak yourselves in the delights of Western Australia. Come early and spend some time in the world class holiday and wine region that is Margaret River. Stay late and explore Rottnest, the Coral Coast or the Great Southern Region.

Come and update your knowledge and skills at the largest Australasian Emergency Medicine Meeting of the year in the sunniest capital city in Australia.

The social program will include an opening reception in King’s Park looking over the beautiful city skyline and a gala dinner looking over Elizabeth Quay – a brand new inlet reuniting the river and the city.

Multiple activities will be planned throughout the week including fun runs, cycling, yoga and river cruises. Families will also be catered for with multiple suggestions for daily activities.

Pre and post workshops will allow you to extend your trip. Topics are ‘to be confirmed’ but Toxicology, Wilderness Medicine and Ultrasound will no doubt feature heavily.
