Making its debut at the trade fair in Düsseldorf is a brand new OR tabletop reported to significantly improve patient handling during surgery: Carbon FloatLine. Made of carbon fiber, this innovative tabletop makes it  easier and safer to position patients thanks to its high degree of adjustability, responsiveness and ease of use. Its range of movement allows for a longitudinal shift of up to 800 millimeters and transverse displacement of up to 125 millimeters each to the left and to the right side. And these at adjustment speeds of up to 185 millimeters per second.

By using an ergonomic control panel Carbon FloatLine can be moved easily and intuitively in whatever direction is required, with a smooth, all-in-one action for any combination of lengthways or sideways movement. The novelty of the control panel lies in its use of pressure sensors to control speed: the OR tabletop moves more quickly or slowly depending on the amount of pressure applied to the handle. This quick and flexible maneuverability gives the user the impression that the OR tabletop is free-floating. Carbon FloatLine is prepared well for hybrid applications, it is completely radiolucent and offers via the OR table TruSystem 7500 an open interface for integration into imaging systems.
