The OR tabletop, designed for children up to 100 cm in height and weighing a maximum of 80 kg, gives the surgeon optimal access to the surgical site. A separate extension plate can be added at the foot end to extend the table length for taller children. To minimise the incidents of pressure ulcers (bed sores), the OR tabletop, as well as the extension plate, can be equipped with three different types of padding. The pediatric OR tabletop is narrower and shorter than the standard OR tabletops from TRUMPF.

These tables are designed for numerous medical procedures ranging from ears, nose and throat (ENT) surgery to oral and maxillofacial surgery and even neurosurgery.

Pediatric departments are confronted more and more frequently with the need for infant surgeries. Safe and stable positioning therefore plays a decisive role. A vacuum mattress facilitates optimal positioning: It adapts to the infant's body, and keeps the child warm and stable. The vacuum mattress is mounted in a special, electrically conductive table pad on the pediatric OR tabletop that allows for the easy transport of infants from the OR tabletop.
