Dear Friends and Leaders in Paediatric Oncology,
Welcome to the 58th Annual SIOP Congress, taking place in San Antonio, USA, from 15–18 September 2026! We look forward to four lively days of cutting-edge science, clear-sighted discussion, and productive work with colleagues from across the globe.
San Antonio, with its strong clinical and research community, provides an excellent environment for a congress that is forward-looking and impactful. Our Scientific Committee, working closely with the Local Organizing Committee, is putting together a programme built on scientific excellence, practical relevance and global reach.
Being a global multidisciplinary society, SIOP wants to connect researchers (fundamental as well as clinical) and clinicians, to connect the different professional disciplines and to connect the different parts of the world. You can expect rigorous sessions led by world-class experts, data-driven insights, and debates that challenge us to raise standards in every region. Our goal is simple and ambitious: to accelerate change and deliver tangible improvements for children everywhere.
Supporting future leaders is a priority for our society, and Young SIOP scholarships for colleagues from low- and middle-income countries will again be offered in 2026. Plan purposefully, follow the early registration deadline and abstract submission guidance, and organise visa requirements well in advance to take full advantage of the opportunities this congress offers.
I also encourage attendees to participate actively in the networking events, mentorship opportunities, and partnership-building that SIOP is known for. The connections you make here, whether with peers, colleagues or friends, often shape careers and generate the momentum needed to move your mission forward.
The SIOP Congress continues to grow because it delivers what our field needs: strong science, openness, and a shared determination to improve outcomes for children everywhere. At San Antonio 2026, we will be challenged to think bigger, collaborate more effectively, and take responsibility for shaping the future both within our own institutions and across the global paediatric oncology community.
