Set in Athens, where history meets innovation, The Future of Healthcare Meetings 2026 offers an inspiring space to shape the future of healthcare meetings.
A key focus will be on creating value at destination level for associations and other key stakeholders. How can associations derive the maximum benefit at a micro-level through collaboration and engagement with the venue, convention bureau, hotels and other partners, engaging with patient organisations, local healthcare ecosystems, and scientific institutions to generate tangible and lasting benefits.
ICCA research shows that meetings are a key revenue stream for almost all associations, essential for delivering on the association mission. The Future of Healthcare Meetings will frame this in the context of healthcare meetings. We will explore how we can partner to reduce costs and increase revenue.
This event is open to ICCA members, observers, and healthcare association executives (including but not limited to ICCA - verified associations). Please note that in order to offer equal opportunity to the community, ICCA Members are limited to one participant per company.
Only a limited number of fully hosted places is available for EU-based associations!
Observer registrations will be reviewed and subject to approval. ICCA reserves the right to accept or reject the registration.
Please note that places for ICCA members and observers will be allocated on a first come, first-served basis. To assure a good balance between meeting suppliers and associations attending, member and observer registration may be capped.
Welcome to Shaping the Next Era of Healthcare Meetings: Innovation, Compliance & Collaboration — a two-day experience dedicated to reimagining how the healthcare community connects, learns, and leads.
At a time when medical science is advancing at unprecedented speed, the way we gather must evolve just as boldly. This event brings together forward-thinking professionals to explore how healthcare meetings can better serve their ultimate purposes and improve patient well-being.
Over the next two days, our speakers will challenge traditional models and present new approaches that place patients at the center of every conversation — from scientific exchange to industry partnerships.
Together, we will explore innovative formats that are redefining engagement — from immersive and data-driven poster sessions to reimagined exhibition spaces that foster meaningful dialogue rather than transactional interactions. We will examine emerging trends shaping medical meetings globally, including hybrid participation, digital integration, sustainability, compliance excellence, and measurable impact.
Innovation, however, does not stand alone. As the regulatory and ethical landscape continues to evolve, compliance remains foundational to trust and credibility. Our expert-led discussions will address how to design meetings that are not only dynamic and collaborative, but also transparent, responsible, and aligned with global standards.
This thoughtfully curated program, designed by Liane Corneau from IUHPE , Carina Smidt from EASL, and Samantha Shamkh from Excel London, reflects a shared commitment to practical insight and purposeful collaboration. By the end of these two days, delegates will:
- Gain actionable strategies to design innovative, compliant, and patient-centered healthcare meetings.
- Understand emerging global trends transforming medical congresses, exhibitions, and scientific exchange.
- Build collaborative frameworks that strengthen partnerships across stakeholders while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
We invite you to engage openly, think boldly, and collaborate generously. The future of healthcare meetings is not something that happens to us — it is something we shape together.
