The 2019 Mental Health Workforce Development Conference will give special attention to the NHS workforce of the future.
As the world copes with growing economic, political, environmental and social changes, what can NHS organisations do to
sustain the health and productivity of their workers?
Staff are the NHS’ greatest asset, however, managing such numbers,
within a complex, multi-faceted NHS organisation, cannot be underestimated. The Five Year Forward View stresses the
importance of the physical and mental wellbeing of the NHS workforce. It predicts that measures to improve employee health
could cut sickness by a third (the equivalent of 15,000 extra staff). It further argues that changes to working conditions and a
stronger culture of engagement and well-being would help boost morale and staff retention.
Resilience is the ability of the workforce to thrive in the face of change and disruption. A day-long national Mental Health
Workforce
Development: Stress and Resilience Conference is a timely event to present you with strategies NHS organisations
can use to ensure their employees thrive through stress and chaos in today’s NHS world of uncertainty.
This conference is suitable for
• Workforce development professionals who have accountability, responsibility for wellbeing at work and
workforce development,
• HR directors, HR deputies,
• Medical, clinical and nursing directors,
• Education and training Directors,
• Commissioners
• Delegates from non-mental health setting who share the MH agenda
