“Integrating science into oncology for a better patient outcome.” In an era of deep understanding of the molecular biology underlying the development of cancer, it is crucial that researchers and clinicians exchange knowledge.

The ESMO 2017 Congress, in partnership with EACR, will bring oncology professionals together to facilitate interaction and bridge knowledge sharing between the laboratory and clinic. The aim of ESMO 2017 is to work together, aligning the objectives of researchers and clinicians, in order to provide more precise direction leading to better treatment options for cancer patients.

The ESMO Congress is the most influential annual meeting for oncology professionals in Europe.

Accreditation

CME: The Congress programme will be submitted for accreditation to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert EACCME credit to AMA credit can be found online here.

ESMO-MORA: The Congress programme will also be submitted for ESMO-MORA category 1 points accreditation. Recertification is necessary for medical oncologists to remain professionally certified by ESMO. It also guarantees that a certified medical oncologist has continued to update her/his knowledge and still possess the necessary skills and standards for the practice of medical oncology..

Webcasts

The Congress webcasts will include all sessions of the official programme where speaker permission is granted.

All ESMO members will be able to access the webcasts via OncologyPRO. They will also be available online for six months following the Congress to all delegates who elect to pay the additional webcast fee. After this period the webcasts will be removed from the ESMO website.
